The 2025 Florida Self-Advocacy Conference will bring self-advocates together to unite their voices to bring change for people with disabilities in our state.

The conference will be held August 22 to 24 at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando. The theme is The Power of Our Voices. The goal is to amplify the voices of people with disabilities to bring changes to disability-related issues at the grassroots level.

Hosted by the FL SAND Fellows Leadership Program, an exciting weekend of training from Breaking Barriers Training Academy, a keynote speaker, interactive breakout sessions led by self-advocates, and much more is planned. The keynote speaker is Karolyn Campbell. She is a disability advocate and a Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Representative. She was also the first legally blind elected official in Florida. More information about Ms. Campbell is available on the FL SAND website.

Registration is free for self-advocates. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Florida Hotel & Conference Center at 800-588-4656. Tell them you will be attending the 2025 FL Self-Advocacy Conference.

Register before July 31 to reserve your spot at this conference. The FL SAND Fellows are looking forward to seeing you there. Let us work to amplify our voices to bring change for people with disabilities in Florida.
